4.1 Bioengineering Research Forum (BERF)

The Bioengineering Research Forum (BERF) is organized by student volunteers and provides opportunities for students to practice presenting their research to their colleagues. BERF is scheduled during the academic school year and occurs weekly at both UCSF and Berkeley. Students who wish to practice for their qualifying examination are encouraged to present, as are students from any year who are going to make presentations at scientific meetings.  A more detailed description of BERF can be found later in this document.
