Research
The Sohn Lab broadly focuses on two major themes: cancer and stem-cell biology. For cancer, we are developing a number of technologies that can screen and identify cancer cells or tumor-derived exosomes based on surface-marker expression or mechanical phenotype (in the case of cells). Additionally, we are developing platforms that allow us to investigate cancer invasion and, most recently, dormancy. For stem-cell biology, we are developing platforms that enable us to study stem cells in their specialized niche.
