Research
We develop and apply systems biology and synthetic biology approaches to understand cellular mechanisms of human diseases and uncover new therapeutic targets. Our discovery platform uses CRISPR-based functional genomics in human iPSC-derived neurons and glia. We generate systematic genetic interaction maps and genetic perturbation coupled to high-content imaging and single-cell RNA-Seq to elucidate cellular networks. One of our next engineering goals is to control gene expression in brain organoids with temporal, spatial and cell-type specificity.
