BioE Ph.D student Kayte Fisher was selected to receive the 2007 Controlled Release Society Outstanding Oral Drug Delivery Award for her paper Silicon Nanowires for Improved Intestinal Bioadhesion. Fischer was also selected to receive the 2007 Innovative Aspects of Oral Drug Delivery and Absorption Graduate/Post-Doc Award, sponsored by the Controlled Release Society and Capsugel/Pfizer (for the same paper). The awards were given at the July, 2007 meeting of the CRS in Long Beach.
