The Dueber Lab develops strategies for introducing designable, modular control over living cells. We are particularly interested in two directions. First, we are repurposing the peroxisome in yeasts for compartmentalizing engineered metabolic pathways. Second, we are developing a diversification technology, EvolvR, for directed evolution applications in a variety of organisms.
